LITTLE SNIPETTS

Hi there, how you doing?
This post is about a week late but I've just been making the most of the lovely summery weather the UK has finally been blessed with, whilst it lasts anyway.

I had such a lovely Sunday, I wanted to share a few cheeky snippets with you. Lets start with how beautiful the weather suddenly became, have you been enjoying it? Its was humid and rainy for most of the week, so this glorious sunshine has been a real treat :) certainly perfect weather for our friends birthday party we were attending.

What I Wore #ootd

Pale Blue Jeggings - New Look
Black Bardot Top - River Island (absolute new fave)
Flowery cream sandals - Primark

I love this outfit, I felt summery with not wearing my usual black jeans and getting my shoulders out. The sleeves on the top are floaty which I really liked. This outfit is quite diverse and can be worn anytime of year for any occasion I think.
Throughout the day, I must of said 'should've put shorts on!' many times haha. When the sun was beaming on me for so long my legs felt so warm but then when the sun went in I soon changed my mind. A woman's prerogative is to be indecisive right!?

I did however, come out with the funniest looking tan lines due to my choice of top, so I now have a very obvious line across my back that separates my tanned and not-so tanned skin. My front barely tanned at all- the next day I looked like a right oddball haha!

Just thought I'd throw this in there seen as I did wear this too.
I had been looking around for a nudey, browny pink (hard to explain as was a specific colour I was looking for) type lipstick for a while. I searched the make-up stands numerous times, swatches of so many different colours and just couldn't seem to find the perfect shade.

However, I did eventually find this Rimmel 077 in Boots, which I'm absolutely loving at the moment, is the perfect shade I was looking for and is the kind of lipstick I'd wear everyday.

The birthday party was beautiful all set up with balloons, banners, cakes, food and sitting in the sunshine - the perfect setting for two 1st birthdays. Alex had such a lovely time, playing with the outdoor toys, the bouncy castle and being able to see and interact with his friends. It was proud moment for me, as this is probably the first time at a social gathering with people he does and doesn't know he hasn't clung to me the entire time. It shows how his confidence and independence is growing. awww! *big smile*

I had a nice time catching up and chin wagging with friends I don't see as often as I wish I could and birthday celebrating :)
I didn't get any photo's as were alot of people and children there that I didn't know and didn't think they'd appreciate me catching them in a photo by accident etc so out of respect didn't have my camera out :)

After getting home and getting Alex sorted for bed, as he was so tired from all the excitement and heat, I thought I would top the day off with a relazing bath courtesy of a Lush Bathbomb - Big Blue

Look at that water, amazing colour! I really loved the smell and colour of this bath bomb. I didn't realise the seaweed didn't dissolve so I found it really weird sitting with slimy seaweed floating around haha! I was sooooo hot afterwards though!!

I love chilled days like this!!

FRUITY FUSIONS

When I was younger I used to be a big fan of just drinking water, no juices, no fizzy drinks, teas or coffees. I'm not sure what happened, but I stopped drinking water all the time and began drinking everything else haha.
Its key to keep yourself hydrated, even more so now summers here or on your holidays. You'll find whenever you visit a doctor, dietitian, body coach etc they'll all ask 'are you drinking enough?'
We say 'Yes' but are we really?
After a visit to the doctors a couple of months ago and being asked about my diet and if I drinking enough water I actually had a little word with myself and made a personal goal to drink more water and see if it would help me feel better. Now, plain water wasn't very appetising;not a great encouragement factor to drink more water. Its easy to just grab cordial to make water taste better. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this?
I've been seeing alot of hype about fruit fusion waters over the years so why not give this a try.
There are so many health benefits you can get from fruity water, better digestion, adding natural antioxidants and improved skin. Personally, I've found I've been less bloated, better sleeping pattern and more energy.

Its Easy Peasy to do, get yourself your favourite fruit, a pretty jar or glass/cup - maybe a straw, ice if your drinks cold- add it all together and your done :)
Here's a few that I like to drink...

Lemon, Lime and Mint - A citrusy favourite, a classic. I like to add mint, just to take that sting of citrus away, but thats just me, lemon and lime is nice too :)

Strawberry and Blueberry - A little berry number, its quite bitter as first but the longer you leave it to fuse the sweeter it becomes as the strawberries release there taste. Add a few different berries you'll have a nice berry water. This what I'll be trying next.

Orange and Lemon - This is my favourite. Packed full of citrus, a lovely zingy taste and so summery.

Strawberry, Lime and Mint - Sweet and fresh and such a subtle taste for those who don't like anything to strong.

Another favourite of mine is cranberry juice, orange and mint so you can also add fresh fruit to your fruit juices, the ideas are endless.

Whats your favourite?
